This was a fun little project that we did for Nelson Whynder Elementary School in North Preston, Nova Scotia.
North Preston's population is mainly African Canadian and the school's students are a reflection of that. With this in mind, we were asked to incorporate an African Kente pattern and the school's mission statement onto a banner that would be displayed on the school's grounds. The image above is the final result. We used some common symbolism while incorporating the school's initials into the design for a traditional but custom design.
