Chatting with Legends

I'm about halfway through reading Debbie Millman's, How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer for the second time. This book won't actually teach you how to think like a great graphic designer. It's a collection of candid interviews with arguably of some of the most accomplished in the business including, Michael Beirut, Peter Saville, Jessica Helfand, Milton Glaser, Paula Scher, Stefan Sagmeister and more. The interviews cover everything from their first creative experiences to their present and future challenges. Millman also gets some of them to share their philosophies on design and where they think the profession is headed in the future. The best part of the book for me is reading about their struggles with a lot of the same insecurities and challenges that everyday designers face. It’s really inspirational. If you're a designer, you need this book.
